But be aware of a new package now being offered by most luxury and remote resorts - all-inclusive packages. You may wonder what all-inclusive packages are, what they include and how much they will cost you. What are the advantages of choosing an all-inclusive package as opposed to a traditional one?
Purchasing an all-inclusive package means that the costs of most of your resort expenses are covered. These include things like meals, beverages, and planned activities or tours. This can reduce the stress of making sure you have enough money with you at all times and save you the hassle of converting your U.S. dollars to the local currency.
With the all included deal, every single meal is already accounted for and you can go back for seconds without worrying about the cost. Also, these deals are inclusive of beer, wine, and spirits, as well as all the normal drinks.
Other amenities that may come with the package are free access to events and programs going on at the hotel. These may include special shows or exhibitions that non-hotel guests have to pay for.
Depending on the caliber of resort and the type of amenities included, prices for all-inclusive packages range from $400 to $1000 per day. Although the cost for kids is a bit steep, children ages 0 to 12 are typically charged half the adult rate.
The big question is, is it better than the normal vacation? It may be the only choice if you really want to go to a special and isolated location.
If you are going somewhere like Hawaii though, where there are lots of choices and competition that would make it cheaper, then the advice is not to book the all-included deal.
